PONDERING THE PRINCIPLES OF PROVERBS

1-proverbs-colorThis is the beginning of a series of studies in the Book of Proverbs. The Proverbs were written by Solomon, commonly known as the wisest man who ever lived.

The concept of a proverb and wisdom are inextricably linked in that a proverb is a statement of wisdom given in a succinct manner. The definition I learned as a child was that a proverb was a “pithy statement.”
